Event Recap: Colt 45 Presents Juicy J x Watch the Duck Live at Center Stage Loft

imgresSeptember 1, 2014—Atlanta, GA – What’s better than a free concert? That’s a hard question to answer. I had the pleasure of attending a dope brand activation sponsored by Colt 45 last weekend; it was worth every second (since it was free)! Ok, let me explain what I am referring to when I say “brand activation.” This is a branding term used to describe a process that starts with a very lucrative idea of making your targeted consumers try your product and it ends with the repeat purchase by the same consumers.

Colt 45’s Brand activation was held last month at Center Stage Loft in Atlanta. Guests were treated to a free concert featuring Rap artist Juicy J and hometown favorites Scotty ATL & Watch the Duck. DJ Speakerfoxxx topped out the show with her spins throughout the night!

“Don’t Watch Me, Better Watch that Duck!” This is the famous tagline for the trapstep 3-member group, Watch the Duck, based out of East Atlanta. The group is well-known for their hit single “Poppin Off” as seen on MTV Jams. Picture this: Guy dressed as a duck + lead singer with a vintage James Brown sound + dope 808s= Watch the Duck. Download their mixtape here, let’s just say I’ve been jamming to it since I left the concert!

Juicy J put on a great show for fans. Although he went on kind of delayed, (he was traveling from Tuscaloosa, AL.. I’m sure from a private concert for one of the frat houses) the performance was worth the wait! Juicy J took us back with some of his hits as a member of Three-Six-Mafia such as Stay Fly, Poppin’ My Collar, and Sippin On Some Syrup.
