I’m trying to find it in me to deal with the fact that it is already August. It seems like summer just started and yet we’ll soon be putting away our gladiators and skater dresses for capes and booties. But with the unwelcome chill in the air, the start of August does bring about one of the best times in the fashion world. New York Fashion Week (and London, Milan and Paris) are right around the corner and the most coveted September 2015 issues are being released as I type!
The month’s issues are a pretty big deal featuring some of the most well-known names in fashion and entertainment, so it’s only right that we revel in all their glamorous glory. We’re certainly seeing a trend on the covers of our favorite magazines – makeup with pink undertones, daring attire, and larger than life personas.
While we patiently wait for other mags (*cough* Vogue *cough*) to break the news of their covers, we’ve rounded up the best of the best (so far). Check them out below:
Gigi Hadid for W Magazine
Labeled as “the world’s most connected model,” Gigi Hadid channels blonde bombshell Brigitte Bardot on her first W Magazine cover. With pouty lips, bouffant hair and smokey eyes, the 20-year-old model rocks sexy lingerie as she discusses her rise to fame, the business of modeling, and her close friends Kendall Jenner and Cara Delevingne.

The spread hits newsstands on August 18. Will you be picking up a copy?
Rita Ora for Glamour UK
For the second year in a row, Rita Ora has landed the cover of Glamour UK‘s September issue. Photographed by David Dunan, the singer and actress leaves much to the imagination as she strikes a pose holding a black and white asymmetric dress, positioned strategically in front of her svelte naked body.
The 24-year-old blonde is a bit more covered inside the issue, wearing a pink underwear set with a black latex dress thrown across her. She talks what’s next for her career, proving that she deserves to be a judge on X Factor UK, and her love life.
We can’t wait to read all about it in the magazine – which is on sale August 6.
Demi Lovato Covers Cosmpolitan
Demi Lovato just sizzles on the cover of the September 2015 issue of Cosmopolitan magazine. Wearing a mini sequined romper complete with a deep plunging neckline, the singer and actress looks better than we’ve ever seen her! To complement her rockstar vibe, the star kept her short bob tousled, her makeup bold and flawless, and her accessories sparkling.
Check out a few excerpts from the interview:
On her relationship with boyfriend Wilmer Valderrama: “The only times we ever broke up were when I was relapsing, whether it was drugs or in a bad place and rebelling against everybody, not just him . . . People say that relapses happen before you use. Your mind starts setting up the relapse before you take that drink or that first hit. The times we’d broken up, I had already gone to that place of, ‘Yeah, this is what’s happening.’ I didn’t realize it at the time, but I just wanted to sabotage everything around me so that I could sabotage myself.”
On how she feels her personality influences her music: “There are a lot of girls in pop. They have badass lyrics, but I feel like I’m the only person other than Rihanna and Nicki Minaj who isn’t afraid to say, ‘Try something on me and I’ll f*cking beat your ass.’ There are people who can dress up and play the part, but their music doesn’t say it.”
Katy Perry Covers Vogue Japan
Katy Perry looks absolutely stunning on the cover of Vogue Japan wearing an embroidered rose-colored frock and sporting a jet black pixie cut. I don’t know about you, but I love the simple, subdued look the singer has been rocking as of late. The magazine shared the cover image on their Instagram page last week along with a video from the shoot and we are obsessed!

I love how the cover is ultra-feminine while the inside shots are more edgy. What do you think, fashionistas?
While I am loving the covers that have been released so far, I’m honestly still waiting for Ebony and Essence because I know they will slay with #BlackGirlMagic. Which covers are your favorites? Any I missed? Let me know below!
