Fashion lovers, rejoice: New York Fashion Week is right around the corner and I can hardly contain my excitement! #NYFW is like the industry’s very own holiday season. From the first glimpse of the designers’ covetable collections to the front row A-list sightings, I get my entire life every February and September. And while I’m never able to make it to New York to actually witness the glam in person, I like to live vicariously through the Instagram accounts of those attending. Nothing’s better than getting a peek into the lives of fashion insiders through a real-time lens. So if you didn’t know already, it’s time to take stock of who you’re following to make sure your feeds are as fab as possible.
Get into the 7 Instagram accounts that are worth adding to your follow list so you don’t miss a second of all the action starting this week. I promise, you’ll want to follow and double-tap them ASAP:
I just love Eva‘s photos. She never misses a beat as she takes her followers on a journey throughout her day – with a piece of fruit in tow. Plus she’s making big moves as the Head of Fashion Partnerships at (obviously) Instagram. Her timeline will be lit.
The collection I look forward to the most every season, DVF‘s account gives behind-the-scenes access to the design process and a backstage look at the runway show before it happens. And how could you not love the brand’s vibrant aesthetic?
Rebecca Minkoff‘s account features close-ups of glam accessories, luxurious street style wear, photo shoots, collection pieces and the occasion snapshot of sweet treats.
If you love fashion, then you probably love Zac Posen. His designs are a lesson in femininity and class with a touch of sensuality. I’m looking forward to getting glimpses into what it takes to make the runway magic happen.
I love that Man Repeller is all about catering to women and the trends we love. The brand’s #girlpower message and fun, quirky snaps are just two reasons to make sure it is among your IG feed.
Alexander Wang‘s show is one of the most talked about events at NYFW every year and it’s no guess as to why. He breaks the rules and delivers something unexpected, so why not follow all the behind the scenes action before you catch the pieces on your favorite fashion bloggers?
Makeup artist Pat McGrath wears so many hats in the beauty industry (and I’m secretly obsessed with her Gold 001 eyeshadow). She creates some of the most memorable looks at fashion shows and always leaves me wanting to recreate every beauty masterpiece.
Are you excited for NYFW? Which collections can you not wait to see? Happy following!
