There’s been a lot of shade thrown towards women empowerment brunches and I’m here to tell you why. Personally, I love a little brunch and girl time to show love to one another and give thanks to the event curator because, you know, thank you? But what I now realize is that guests are offended because the energy is weird and they’re absolutely right.
Too much cap, way too much cap going on and people are lowkey making money off of women’s insecurities and low self-esteem and that shit is tired.
Event design and event hosting are NOT the same. If you like decorating cool, but that is not the same as hosting the event you decorated.
Hosting requires a warm and friendly personality and welcoming energy so if you don’t have that, then hire a host.
But being cold and stiff at an event you decorated, for the sake of content creation, is weird. Y’all be doing things in VAIN and wonder why everything you touch remains stagnant… because you don’t really care, you have no passion, and you’re doing things to be seen and not to make an impact!
Influence requires humility and PASSION for what you’re creating. So in the event, that there is an event, show love and treat your guests with love and appreciation for their presence.
Be kind, be human and for heaven’s sake… CARE!
