Mom Life: Mother of 3 beautiful children; an 11-year-old son, a 5-year-old daughter, and a 3-year-old daughter.
Entrepreneur Life: Knegleshia has always had an entrepreneurial mindset. During college, she became the go-to hairstylist and fashion guru among her friends. Knegleshia realized her skill was certainly a gift—a gift she became passionate about nurturing. Knegleshia drove her passion to purpose and gave birth to her newest joy in April 2014, The Style Haven. The Style Haven is a fashion and consulting firm that provides expertise image consulting, including wardrobe, hair, and makeup. She is also a designer of Christian Bling t-shirts, an inspirationall lifestyle brand.
Her plate has room for yet another empowering role, serving as the Public Relations Director for the Alabama Fashion Alliance. She has also had the pleasure of working with local and national beauty and fashion affiliates, including America’s Next Top Model Cycle 19, Victoria Henley. For Knegleshia, following her passion is more than work, it is a ministry that makes her proud to be an entrepreneur.
Mompreneur Life: Although, Knegleshia enjoys the flexibility that comes with being a business owner, she knows being a mom and an entrepreneur is a full-time commitment. Knegleshia’s day starts around 5am and ends just before midnight– daily. Strategic planning, writing, and managing her time wisely are tools she uses to help ensure she juggles both roles smoothly. Her children come first and she is aims to always give her children the much-needed attention they deserve. With both of her girls in dance, her son active in basketball, and serving as “homeroom mom chaperon” at the school; Knegleshia is grateful for the additional help from her support system.
Advice to Aspiring Mompreneurs:
Follow your passion, your gift(s) will make room for you. If you feel there is more on the inside of you do not neglect that feeling. The more fulfilled you are, the better you are overall.
