I can’t believe Thanksgiving is almost here! Where have the last 10 months gone?! But I’m not complaining- I’m all for any opportunity I have to eat some of my mother’s homemade dressing, collard greens and macaroni and cheese. Needless to say, Thanksgiving is one of my favorite holidays. I absolutely love spending the day with family, watching the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade (and silently wishing I were in New York to experience it firsthand) and just creating memories that will last forever.
Every year, I wake up bright and early to sneak a few tastes as my mother throws down in the kitchen. It’s kinda our little tradition – me with a plate full of “samples” and her swatting me out the kitchen. My mouth is watering just thinking about it.
