If you have been hearing these phrases from your friends, family, or your favorite millennials over the past few months, I’m here to give you the inside scoop on how DJ Khaled’s Snapchat is giving everyone life! Since November-ish 2015, DJ Khaled’s Snapchat story has been a TRENDING TOPIC! Catching a glimpse into the life of one of the most popular DJ’s of today is truly an interesting story to watch. After all, he drops MAJOR KEYS to success, and we are merely sitting back and taking notes! I thoroughly enjoy viewing his story because he is so RAW and genuine in his daily routines. Last night, Rapper Future and Comedian Dave Chappelle were both featured on DJ Khaled’s story.
It kind of helps sheds light on the basic fact: celebrities are everyday people too!

First things first, let me explain SNAPCHAT to those of you who aren’t social media friendly. Snapchat is a popular social network that allows users to upload video and images, using geofilters. The catch: the story lasts for only 24 hours and users do NOT have visible followers. Unlike Instagram, Snapchat does not broadcast how many “followers” a user has, it only show how many views a users has on each post. The views are also privately shared to the user, no one else! This is what makes Snapchat unique. No need to stunt on Snapchat or try to get likes— that’s not the point. The point is to share raw content, with minimal filtration, to share your “fabulous life” with the world!

DJ Khaled has been trending thanks to his raw approach in uploading content in his story. Last night, he was at the Snapchat headquarters and featured Snapchat Founder, Evan Spiegel, on his story! DJ Khaled has also had multiple custom filters made based on his compelling content. Last night’s story featured the illustrator of his custom filters, she’s bad ass. #GirlUp On Christmas Day, he had his own filter! And just the other day, I saw #AnotherOne

Surprisingly, I’ve learned a lot on how to upload rich content to engage users thanks to DJ Khaled! And let’s not forget about “fan love.” Yes, Khaled has his own segment of fan appreciation where he uploads an address and asks fans to meet him there! Once he arrives, he simply puts all of the Fan Love on his Snapchat. Many of the fans reciting some of his knowledge..
