Hey Travelers!

How’s your year been going so far? Too fast? Too slow? In need of some motivation? Having a bad case of writer’s block? Whatever you may be up against as we near the end of Q1 of 2018, I want to be the first person to remind you that YOU GOT THIS!

For me, this year has been full speed ahead. I declared 2018 as my year of  handling my business, and minding my business. This mantra is not solely for professional goals, but also for protecting my mental health and physical well-being. Just last week, I was having a major storm at work, and I didn’t know what to do. First, I listened to Solange’s A Seat at the Table because, therapy.

Then I pondered. Well, yes, I have my dream job, but an event at work caused me to have an epiphany: My life goals aren’t limited to a dream job, I want to live the life of my dreams.

This realization was a personal game-changer for me.

In Western Culture, we are wired to think: go to college, get a job, get married, have kids, then die.

But we aren’t encouraged to do the work you love, for the rest of your life. Or in other words, find your life’s purpose and make that your paycheck. Well this post is for the dreamers, the entrepreneurs, and the movers and shakers who just think and do things differently.
