May I say something to you to give you a true knowledge of yourself and life?
This is America. I can do anything, and I’m nice. You’re either with me, or against me–WIN.
I feel kinda freeeeeee, we’re still the kids we used to be.
Today was a good day.
Hi travelers!
How has your year been going so far? We are already halfway through 2018, and I feel the many affirmations I declared over my life, manifesting in my own reality. I can truly say 2018 has been a year for the books because I did the one thing that scares me the MOST! I know you’re dying to know what that was, but there’s another post for that one. Here on Giselle Ave. we are celebrating Q2 in the name of complete FREEDOM! Freedom to create, freedom to soar, freedom to take leaps of faith, freedom to level up…. and FREEDOM TO CREATE THE LIFE YOU WANT!
Today, I’m here to deliver some music for the SOUL that really exemplifies the energy felt on Giselle Ave. in Q2 (April, May, June). This has been a GRRRRREAT year for music so far, and I’m all in! We got the Black Panther Soundtrack in Q1 that basically reminded every person of color of their greatness. We then got a self-titled Ye album, followed by Kids See Ghost a joint Kanye West & Cudi album, followed by more highly-anticipated albums from G.O.O.D. music artists Teyana Taylor and Pusha-T.
Then, a tweet that went viral let us know Nas album was done, with the release of NASIR, also produced by Kanye West. Then— we got a politically charged, poetic track shedding light on the fact that This is America from Childish Gambino.
And as if that wasn’t enough, to top it all off, The Carters released a surprise joint album, to let us know that Everything is Love.
Yes, all of this happened in the past three month of 2018.
I’ve been super appreciative of all of the music released so far, it has been extremely therapeutic as I wind down my roaring 20s and walk into chapter 30 like a BAWSE! Here’s the Official Q2 Playlist, now streaming on Apple Music.
Don’t have Apple Music? You can create a playlist using the same tracks on whichever digital music streaming service you use! #SpreadTheLove

Stay inspired, but most of all—stay freeeeeeeeeeee,
