We wore the braids, we did the big chop, we endured the hard questions like, “so when are you going to do your hair,” so that generations after us could thrive! I’m being so serious right now. Just a decade ago, natural hair was taboo, but now we are all rocking our hair in whatever style we feel like wearing and I truly love that for us. Although protective styles are still my favorite go-to’s, there’s nothing like taking care of your own hair, at home.
During the pandemic, I picked up a few new skills, including braiding my own hair. Once I started taking better care of my Crown, I was able to tap into my own Goddess Energy by showing myself love, and appreciation for the hair I have, and the skin I’m in.

Right now, I’m rocking a sew-in install, with minimal leave-out and using growth oil to massage my scalp. During my next salon visit, I’m planning a hair detox to really get a deep cleanse of my hair, before my next style. Again, routine is everything!
