‘Twas the night before New Year’s Eve, and I was up all night.
I’m still unsure what was keeping me up– perhaps the excitement of a New Year–but I was up that evening until 4am. I was watching Netflix, and then, something came to my mind.
I started to think about my big picture goals for the new year. As an extremely goal-oriented person, I’m always super excited about setting bigger and better goals for myself. In addition to good ole’ goal-setting, I create Vision Boards to help me see the big picture goals of the upcoming year. Since 2013, I’ve created a Vision Board for all of my goals and since 2013— THEY HAVE ALL COME TO PASS. I’m a firm believer in the Law of Attraction, I practically LIVE by it! But, I noticed a trend among my social networks and I had to share what was on my mind. HAD TO.
Tweet Gone Viral
If you’re a frequent Tweeter, you know that Twitter is the ultimate personal opinion platform. I know, I know, Facebook & Instagram seem like the best place to read the comments section, but Twitter is an entire platform of Comments, sectioned off via Hashtags and algorithms that push content on your feed that is HOT within your network. Pretty simple process, right?
But the question everyone wants to know– How Do I Go Viral?
My answer? Curate ORIGINAL content that’s right on time.
Twenty-eighteen was dedicated to minding my own business, and it worked. Thanks to my commitment to minding my own business— I was able to leave Corporate for good and I now work for myself full-time, I fell in love with my twin flame, I lost 22 pounds… and I’m living on an ultra light beam.
So in the midst of my goal-setting, I thought– this year I’m doing everything differently. Starting with keeping my plans all to myself. There’s even science-backed evidence that also suggests this is the best way to actually accomplish your goals.
Then, I decided to share my commitment on Twitter.

Then, I noticed some of my peers took screenshots and posted it on Instagram.
Next, the retweets kept on going up and up and up. I’d gotten 10K likes within 24 hours.
Of course, I dropped Giselle Ave. client Awesomeisjayell‘s Music link (He’s upgraded from SoundCloud).
And four days later……

1.6M impressions.. and counting!

The Point
Share your truth, even if it doesn’t make sense to others. Own your goals, but move in silence– kind of like The Carters. Always set REALLY BIG GOALS for yourself. Cap on yourself.
And never forget, this is the wild, wild, world wide web.
